  1. Too spectacular.

    1. How beautiful can it get?

      1. Incredible. I always liked how the Ferrari looks in the dark, and for that matter all the other cars as well.

    2. Honestly, we’ve been seeing the same pictures every year since 2008 but I doubt I’ll ever get tired of them. Too spectacular indeeed.

  2. Mclaren is running a huge camber.

    1. They were also running with a noticably higher ground clearance and more compliant suspension setup than their rivals during free practice.

It reminded me of the Renault’s characteristics last year.

  3. Thanks Keith! Pity there weren’t more daytime pictures.

  4. Oooh these are great

  5. The image of Kobayashi flying through the ‘Sling’ is my new wallpaper. The C30 is easily my favourite looking car this year for both livery and shape. Then there’s the fact he’s about a metre off the ground. Oh, and it’s at night. Perfect.

    2. Sauber gives you wings

  6. I’m not sure if it’s because the lighting makes it ideal for photographers, but the photos of the cars always look so realistic here. To add, it’s only lately I’ve realised how good the Williams looks!

  7. Annoyingly, I don’t like Alonso’s gold helmet. I just think the blue one is so nice, and looks cool in the Sinapore dark.

  8. It’s a travesty that the FOM camera feeds are so badly positioned for this race.

With the exception of a few panning shots and a couple cameras that are actually elevated beyond head height, the rest of the footage gives the impression of slow cars driving through corridors.

Cameras installed at ground level and facing directly at the cars as they come towards may well be the most efficient and cost effective way of rigging up the event but it massively detracts from the spectacle.

Any news on the two fighting photographers..?

  10. Wow, Kobayashi is really attacking those kerbs. Taking lessons from Petrov.
